Police Seek Leads in Saturday Shooting Death in Pomona

The victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds around 2:45 a.m. Saturday in an alley in the 1600 block of East Kingsley Avenue in Pomona.

Pomona police are asking the public's help to develop leads in the death of a man found with multiple gunshot wounds in a vehicle parked in the rear of a carport area.

The victim was found around 2:45 a.m. Saturday in an alley in the 1600 block of East Kingsley Avenue, Pomona Police Lt. Ron McDonald said on Sunday.

"The Pomona Police Department received a call of multiple gunshots in the area,'' McDonald said. "Responding officers located the victim in a vehicle parked in the rear carport area. The victim was suffering from multiple gunshots to the upper torso.''

Los Angeles County fire paramedics responded to administer first aid and life saving measures but they were unsuccessful, McDonald said. The victim died as a result of his injuries.

Pomona police were asking anyone with information to call detectives at (909) 620-2085 or if they wish to remain anonymous to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
