Claremont Neighborhood Parties for Cause

Keeping the Good in Our Neighborhood's annual street fair brings out crowds to raise money to fund a K-9 unit for Claremont PD.

Keeping the Good in Our Neighborhood had its sixth annual Crime Watch Street Faire & Car Show on Saturday night, drawing hundreds of residents out of their homes for a good time.
Classic cars lined the streets, and food trucks were out serving everything from burgers to tortas to cupcakes. Local bands played music to entertain the crowd.
But the point of the block party was to raise money for the community. There were gift bags for families who donated $25 for the event, and raffles for prizes donated from local businesses, including sports tickets, meals and other services. Proceeds from this year's event were going to help fund a K-9 unit for the Claremont Police Department.
There were also information booths from local businesses and demonstrations from a local dance studio and self defense studio.
