La Verne Woman Wins Fair's Cupcake Contest
Virginia Joines wowed judges with her S'mores creation.
The nationwide cupcake craze invaded the Los Angeles County Fair on Saturday, as competitors from across the region competed to be crowed the best.
And at the end of the day, the top spot went to Virginia Joines of La Verne, who wowed judges with her S'mores creation.
According to the fair's blog, Hotblog on a Stick, the S'mores cupcake "oozed with marshmallow, chocolate and graham cracker crumbs."

Second place went to Sandy Williams, of Rancho Cucamonga, who created a cinnamon twist cupcake, while third was awarded to George Armetta, of West Hollywood, who created pink lemonade cupcakes.
