The mold discoverd in a Claremont High School classroom has been removed but was also was deemed non-hazardous by a school official, according to a Daily Bulletin article.
Rock Cota, the director of nutrition services and executive director of the Service Center at the high school, told the Bulletin that the mold was not a threat to the health of students.
Other improvements to potential health hazards have also been cleaned up or renovated in the school, inculding the repainting of areas where lead-based paint was found.
The California Occupational Safety and Health Administration will finish an investigation into the presence of the mold in July.
