Police Search for Missing High School Football Player

A 17-year-old player from West Covina High School's football team may have run away from home.

Police asked for the public's help tonight in locating a missing 17-year-old player on the West Covina High School football team who is believed to have run away from home.

Peter Gustavo Albrechtsen was last seen at 11 p.m. Sunday. His family noticed he was gone at 6 a.m. Monday, but presumed he had gone to school. When he didn't turn up either at school or football practice, his parents notified West Covina police, Lt. David Lee said.

It is believed that Peter ran away after an argument with his parents. He had never run away before.

Peter is 5-foot-8 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair and a 1-inch scar on his nose.

He is known to frequent the Cameron Youth Center at the corner of Cameron Avenue and Lark Ellen, west of the high school.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts was asked to call police at (626) 939-8500.
