Donna Lowe, a Republican candidate for the newly formed 41st Assembly District recently received an endorsement from the Chinese American Citizens Alliance, Greater San Gabriel Valley Lodge.
The 41st District includes Claremont and La Verne.
The alliance, originally founded in 1895 as Native Sons of the Golden State, is a civil rights group "promoting social and community activities, and adhering to an American way of life," according to a news release announcing the endorsement.
“I’m happy to be endorsed by the Chinese American Citizens Alliance, Greater San Gabriel Valley Lodge,” Lowe said. ”I am inspired by its cultural values as well as its spirit of American patriotism.”
Lowe is a businesswoman who works in the technology industry. She is a lifelong Republican and is married to Gary Lowe, according to her campaign website. The Claremont resident and her husband have two young children together and Lowe is the stepmother to two daughters.
She is the founder of the Claremont Conservatives Tea Party, former board member of the Mountain View Republican Club, a spokeswoman for Claremont Taxpayers for Common Sense, and currently serves on the Claremont Community Services Commission. Lowe also serves as an alternate on the 59th Assembly District Committee.
Other organizations that endorse Donna Lowe for Assembly are the Republican Party of Los Angeles County, California State Assembly Republican Caucus, California Republican Assembly, and the California Republican Party. She has also earned the endorsements of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, LA County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich, San Bernardino Supervisor Janice Rutherford, US Congressman Gary Miller and US Congressman and Majority Whip of the US House of Representatives Kevin McCarthy.
