Mailbox Bomber Targeting Mt. Baldy Neighborhoods

Three homes near Mt. Baldy Road have had their mailboxes blown up since Saturday, police say.

Claremont police are searching for a man who has been putting explosives in the mailboxes of homes in neighborhoods off of Mt. Baldy Road.

Since Saturday, three mailboxes have been blown up on the 800 block of Alamosa Drive, the 100 block of Limestone Road and 3700 block of Vicennes Court.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, 18 to 20-years-old, about 200 pounds with red or blonde hair.

He was last seen wearing a white T shirt and blue shorts, and may be driving a black Honda Civic.
