Cyclist Injured in Crash in Claremont

The cyclist was flown to USC Medical Center, Claremont Police officials said.

A female cyclist was airlifted to USC Medical Center today after she collided with a vehicle in Claremont, police officials said.

The crash was reported at 7:25 a.m. at the intersection of Arrow Highway and College Avenue in Claremont.

The driver was not injured while the cyclist suffered minor injuries, said Claremont Police Lt. Jason Walters.

“The cyclist was airlifted (to the hospital) as a precaution,” Walters said. “I’m sure they were concerned because she was thrown from the bicycle.” 

The cause of the crash is under investigation, Walters said.
