The Claremont Chamber of Commerce reminds business owners to be on the lookout for burglars who broke into a sports wear business by smashing through a roll up door with their vehicle.
The burglary was reported about 7 a.m. Dec. 8 at C and Y Sportswear. Police officials said the business’ alarm was tripped.
When Claremont Police officers arrived, the thieves had already fled taking 400 to 500 pairs of pants with them, officials said.
This type of crime rarely occurs in the city, Police officials said. The investigation is ongoing.
