Claremont-La Verne's Top Five Stories from the Week of April 1

This certainly has been a busy week for police in our area. An explosion and more collisions, this time critically injuring one woman, had police investigators busy.

Crash Prompts Calls for Change at Claremont Intersection. On Sunday, concerned residents took to Facebook to call for changes to the Baseline Road and Padua Avenue following a crash that critically injured one woman and a man on April 6. Some residents are calling the intersection a danger.

Man Extracting Hash Oil Accused of Causing Large Explosion. Austin Goodwin, who police said was a transient, caused an explosion at the Claremont home of an acquaintance, much to the dismay of residents who are unaccustomed to that kind of activity.
