A Claremont psychologist is facing 15 years to life behind bars for allegedly molesting two boys under the age of 14, court records show.
Thomas Gary Amberson, 56, was arrested by the Claremont Police Department on Nov. 15 on charges of child molestation related to two separate individuals, according to a felony complaint from the district attorney's office.
Jail and court records indicate he is currently free on $100,000 bail, but that he's due in the courtroom for an arraignment on Monday, Dec. 17.
He's now facing four felony counts of lewd acts on a child, plus another count of possessing child pornography.
The alleged crimes on the first boy happened between Jan. and Nov. of this year. The crimes against the second boy are said to have happened back in 2007, between the months of September and October, the felony complaint states.
Amberson, who specializes in child psychology, has an office on Yale Ave. in Claremont.
