Authorities Work to Return Items Stolen Out of Several Counties

Thousands of items stolen out of Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Riverside counties can now be claimed by their rightful owners. Authorities urge theft-victims to examine the property online.

More than 11,000 stolen items recovered by a police task force in the Southland this year can now be claimed by their rightful owners, with authorities urging theft-victims today to examine the property online.

The items were recovered during an operation that began earlier this year into so-called "fence" burglaries, in which criminals knowingly buy stolen property for later resale, police said. The task force engaged in extensive surveillance, culminating with the arrests of numerous suspects and the recovery of stolen goods.

Photos of the property are available for viewing on the website. Type the words "fence burglaries" into the search box and follow the prompts.  Or, you can view the pictures in a dropbox here (may take some time to load).

The burglaries occurred in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Ventura and San Bernardino counties.

If you believe your property is depicted in any of the photographs, you can send an email to lapdvctf@lapd.lacity.org or leave a message at (818) 644- 8091.

In your email, include a brief description of the item, the item number written on the yellow tab in the photograph, the name listed as the victim on your burglary report, the report number, the address where the burglary occurred, the date of the crime and a callback number.

@Muslim radicals are the problem here. This jihad/war whatever the hell you want to call it, willRead More never end in our lifetime. Ultimately the Muslims will win. Look no further than Europe. Unless there is a full fledged worldwide war, they really can't be stopped. Their numbers are too great. What we are doing in Afghanistan is nothing more than swatting away a bee every time one flies out of the hive. But there are millions still in the hive. Unless we close our borders to people from the Middle East and parts of Eastern Europe, what happened in Boston will continue. It's not racist to not like Muslims just like it wasn't racist to not like the Russians during the Cold War or Germans during WWII.

Thanks to these two scum brothers, I can no longer transport my hearty meals in my trusty pressureRead More cooker via backpack. As an alternative, I tried to fit a crock pot, but it ruined my backpack zipper and made a meatball/marinara mess inside my backpack; even making way into the USB ports of my laptop. Sorry, tupperware won't cut it. It just gets too hot and eventually leaves a huge welt on my back.
