At Least One Dead In Pomona Crash

Few details being released by authorities.

At least one occupant of an SUV died at the scene of a tremendous crash at the intersection of Arrow Highway and Garey Avenue near the La Verne border Sunday evening.

It was unclear if it was a solo crash, or if a second vehicle was involved. It was also unclear how many occupants may have been in the SUV, which was severely damaged and rolled over on its side. The occupant of the SUV appeared to have been ejected.

Pomona police would not answer any questions regarding the crash.

According to scanner reports, fire fighters arrived to the scene around 7:16 p.m. The SUV was on fire when authorities arrived and rescuers called for a rescue helicopter to transport an unknown number of patients. Fire fighters, however, called off the helicopter almost immediately for unknown reasons.

This story will continue to be updated as information becomes available.

My family was head on with the driver.....I would greatly appreciate if this web site would take down the photos with the body in them. I know they are uploaded by others but for those who knew the deceased and were witness to this horrific scene it would be best. Thank you and my thoughts and prayers go out to all of those that were affected like us by this event tonight.

My thoughts are with the family, but thank you for posting the photos and article. I heard the accident and the sirens, but didn't witness the event.

I am a witness to this accident ,i am sorry for your loss. I worked on the day of the event .I was a cook at kfc ,to who it may concern. I was their fist to the scene & tried to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher i grab from our kitchen as I exited. I witness the suv being struck by another truck that had a red light an fleeing the scene.i notified an officer that was present prior to the crash after i had tried putting the fire out, that the truck is getting away. Officer response to me was to "Shut the fuck up ,you don't know anything"! I went back to work after. By:Fuera De La Ley ,Couger
