Former La Verne Priest Named in Searchable Database of L.A. Abuse Files

Documents released by the Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles can be searched easily in this database produced by KPCC.

This database has been provided to Patch, courtesy of KPCC.

The database includes files indicating the list of assignments of each priest, as well as correspondences from priests and principals from area schools, including Glendora, La Verne, San Dimas and Covina.

The database includes the file of Edward Casey, who served as Associate Pastor from 1987 to 1989 at Holy Name of Mary Church in San Dimas. Casey also taught at Damien High School in La Verne from 1968 to 1982.

Also listed in the database is the file of Father Michael J. Carroll, who served as Pastor at St. Lorenzo Ruiz Catholic Parish in nearby Walnut.  Carroll died a few years ago, according to the church.

For the official release of the documents, visit the Archdiocese of Los Angeles website.
