Time Warner Subscribers: How Is the CBS Blackout Affecting You?

Across Los Angeles County, some 3 million customers are becoming increasingly annoyed with the loss of programming during the distribution dispute, according to County Supervisor Zev Yaroslovsky.

By Matthew Sanderson:

As the dispute between behemoths Time Warner Cable and CBS enters the fourth week, many subscribers across Los Angeles County are feeling the loss of regular programming.

County Supervisor Zev Yaroslovsky writes that some 3 million customers remain caught in the middle of the argument over the distribution deal, particularly seniors.

The winning season of the Los Angeles Dodgers' broadcast that airs on the CBS-owned station KCAL 9 is in the dark, and popular shows like 60 Minutes and NCIS are also missing from the regular programming of many.

Time Warner Cable came up with a temporary solution for the blackout to subscribers: free antennas to watch CBS programming, including the L.A. market.

But as Yaroslovsky's blog states how the blackout hits home, many older residents are used to cable television are own older televisions with no high definition connection for the antennas.

So they're stuck, even those with computers who see television differently than the younger generations who view it as just another screen to watch.

Is the CBS blackout for Time Warner Cable customers affecting you? If so, how? What shows are you missing?
