Claremont's Newest Development Holds Grand Opening

Claremont’s new Citrus Glen at Pitzer Ranch community, located on a site that was once home to historic buildings that had fallen into disrepair, will hold its grand opening on Saturday.

Dubbed Citrus Glen at Pitzer Ranch by Taylor Morrison, the completion of the newly built homes will be celebrated from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 18.

The development is located at the southwest corner of Base Line Road and Monte Vista Avenue.

Claremont- La Verne Patch reported in June that the project had gotten approval from the council. The project had involved the removal of two of the site's historic rock structures, City Manager Tony Ramos wrote in a June report. 

A historic barn and pump house on the property was to be restored and re-purposed for use as a community center and storage building for the development during the planning stages.

"The City has worked with four different developers for more than eight years on building residential homes at the project site, and is very pleased with the new owner's (Taylor Morrison of California, LLC) development plans," Ramos wrote in the report.

Initially described as condominiums, Taylor Morrison is marketing them as attached homes with 3 to 4 bedrooms. They start in the low $400,000s.

The grand opening will feature a professional Barista, entertainment and a raffle prize giveaway. The event is free and open to the public. The exact address is 924 Base Line Road in Claremont.
