Armed Robbery Reported in Claremont

Police release details of Tuesday incident.

Police are investigating a reported armed robbery in which one of the occupants of a semi truck had a wallet stolen.

The incident occurred at 12:30 a.m., Aug. 7, at the Greyhound bus depot, 888 South Indian Hill Blvd. Three people were sitting in a semi truck when they were approached by a man who brandished a polished steel handgun and demanded wallets and money, police said in a statement.

The suspect fled on foot with one wallet.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 20 years old, 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 130 pounds. He wore a black hoodie, dark jeans and a blue bandana. The suspect also had a thin beard and goatee and is considered armed and dangerous.
