La Verne Gets Its Day at the Fair

The Los Angeles County Fair is celebrating La Verne day today.

Today, starting at 3 p.m., the Los Angeles County Fair is celebrating La Verne day.

Members of the community are invited to honor community heroes during the parade, scheduled to start at 5 p.m. La Verne Day will feature a day planned by members of the La Verne Community and will include:

  • Horse Race
  • Community Days parade
  • High school marching band competition
  • Adult and Junior Community Hero awards ceremony
  • Evening Entertainment

A Community Heroes ceremony is set to start 5:30 p.m. The ceremony is held at Esmeralda’s Big Top Theatre.

Residents can also receive $5 admission with online purchase using a promo code available at lacountyfair.com. La Verne’s 2012 Community Heroes are Archana Reddy, Tim Morrison, Mickey Washlow and Mark Coppolo.

Fairplex, home of the 2012 L.A. County Fair, has long been a proud partner throughout the community, according to Fair officials.
