Claremont Celebrates Season with Tree LIghting, Holiday Celebrations

Carolers and Santa Claus made an appearance at the Historic Train Depot for the event.

People crowded into the Claremont Village on Friday night for shopping, dinner and some holiday spirit.

The city celebrated the season with a holiday celebration, which included a Christmas Tree lighting, carolers around the village and a skating rink.

Children lined up outside of City Hall for the chance to tell Santa Claus what they wanted for Christmas, as well as for families to get a picture with the jolly old elf.

The holiday celebration will continue Saturday, as local businesses hope for an influx of foot traffic. The skating rink will be available as well.
