This Weekend in Claremont-La Verne: A Luau, DUI Checkpoints and Friday Nights Live

1. The La Verne United Methodist Church is hosting its sixth annual “Hawaii’s Best Luau,” Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Click here for details.

2. Los Angeles County law enforcement are planning a two-week crackdown on drunk driving starting Friday. Two DUI checkpoints are planned in Claremont during this time. For more details, click here.

3. It’s Friday Nights Live, with live music in various locations in Claremont. This week, it’s Tony Palkovio Group (Soft Rock/Blues) and Chamber Woodrock (Rock) in the Public Plaza and Ed Zarate (Rock/Country) at City Hall.
