Ready, Set, Go! Claremont Scavenger Hunt Helps Drive Local Business Foot Traffic

The city is sponsoring a "holiday shopping scavenger hunt" to get people to shop local, while incentivizing them with prizes.

The city of Claremont his hosting a holiday shopping scavenger hunt to help add some more cheer to the season- and keep those shopping dollars in town.

The Claremont Holiday Shopping Scavenger Hunt runs this week, through Dec. 8, and entails shoppers simply visiting ten of 38 businesses who've signed up for the program at the Claremont Village.

"To participate, simply take the card [attached] with you to ten of the participating businesses and have them mark your card," the event flier reads.

Completed cards must be brought to the Hughes Center, City Hall, or Bert & Rocky's by Wednesday, December 12.

The prize drawing will take place on Thursday, December 13, and the winners will be notified by phone. 

The exact potential rewards were not disclosed, other than "gift cards and prizes."

In the words of the city: "Happy hunting!"

Great idea. We need to promote business to the Village, buy pulling the community in more. More action in the village would be great. Summer in the park is great but we need a winter something, Maybe a Christmas Santa strolling around the streets with the Carolers...........
