Rain Cancels First La Verne Old Town Festival, Farmer's Market of 2013

The first Old Town La Verne Family Festival and Farmer's Market was supposed to resume for the year on March 7, but weather conditions didn't agree.

The first farmer's market of the season in La Verne has been canceled due to the weather, city officials announced Thursday afternoon.

The event had been scheduled to kick of the season March 7 and continue "all summer long" each Thursday.

This not-so-summery cold and rainy weather forced the city to move the launch of the seasonal event to next Thursday, March 14.
