Missing West Covina Football Player Found

Peter Gustavo Albrechtsen, whose parents reported him missing Monday, returned home Wednesday night.

A 17-year-old West Covina High School football player missing since he ran away from home on Sunday returned home Wednesday night, police said.

Peter Gustavo Albrechtsen "had just wanted to be by himself," said Lt. Ken Plunkett of the West Covina Police Department.

Peter is believed to have run away after an argument with his parents, though he had never run away before, Lt. David Lee said.

Peter was last seen at 11 p.m. Sunday. His family realized he was missing at 6 a.m. Monday but assumed he had gone to school. When he didn't turn up either at school or football practice, his parents notified West Covina police, Lee said.
